The Baltic Sea Festival, which was to take place in August 2020, has been cancelled. Even though it had been intended to make the festival a digital project, the planning conditions due to the Covid-19 outbreak have finally made that impossible.
"It is extremely sad to have had to cancel this year's Festival. But we very much hope that in
2021 we will be able to offer the audience an even more challenging and thought-provoking
programme, one which will once again characterize the tradition of the Baltic Sea Festival”,
says Christian Thompson, Head of Artistic Planning at Berwaldhallen.
Next year's Baltic Sea Festival will take place in August and September 2021.
